WSP Global’s Technical Breakdown: New Lows Come Into View

by SIACharts.com

WSP Global Inc. (WSP.TO) recently broke below prior support at $183.12, extending the technical weakness that has persisted since the shares entered the Unfavoured Zone on November 6, 2025, at $254.44. Based on the recent closing price of $182.85, WSP has declined approximately 28.1% since entering the Unfavoured Zone.

The shares currently carry an SIA SMAX score of 4 out of 10 and sit in the Unfavoured Zone of the SIA S&P/TSX 60 Index Report, ranked 45th out of 62 positions. The latest Point and Figure signal remains a Double Top; however, the recent support violation indicates that downside risk continues to warrant attention. New support appears at $169.17, followed by the July low of $159.42. Initial resistance appears at the 3-box reversal level of $198.21, with additional resistance at $214.55.

Diversified Services is currently an Unfavoured sector within the SIA Sector Report, where it ranks 45th out of 62 sectors. This weak sector backdrop provides limited technical support for WSP as the shares attempt to stabilize following their recent decline.

WSP returned 0.41% during the past quarter, declined 34.14% over the past year, and is down 26.14% year to date. By comparison, the S&P/TSX 60 Index Fund (EWIXIU.TO) gained 5.82%, 22.17%, and 12.62% over the same respective periods, demonstrating substantial underperformance by WSP across all three timeframes.

WSP is a global engineering, science, and infrastructure solutions firm operating in more than 50 countries. Its approximately 83,000 professionals deliver projects across transportation, infrastructure, environmental services, buildings, energy, water, mining, and metals.

The combination of a 4 out of 10 SIA SMAX score, an Unfavoured Zone position, weak sector relative strength, and the recent violation of support provides a technical framework through which investment professionals can assess the shares alongside their own investment objectives, risk parameters, and portfolio-management processes.
