TORONTO, April 11, 2023 - Rohit Mehta, a respected industry veteran with over two decades of experience in the Canadian investment fund and asset management sectors, has been appointed President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Horizons ETFs Management (Canada) Inc. (Horizons ETFs). His appointment, effective May 1, 2023, was announced by the Board of Directors. Jasmit Bhandal, Horizons ETFs' interim CEO, will continue with the organization as Chief Operating Officer and Director.

In his illustrious career, Mr. Mehta has held senior leadership roles at leading Canadian asset management firms, where he has spearheaded industry and Canadian firsts. He helped the investment community better meet investors' evolving needs while significantly growing organizational assets in an increasingly competitive landscape. Mr. Mehta has served as Senior Vice President, Head of Distribution at Guardian Retail Asset Management for Guardian Capital LP, and as Executive Vice President, Head of Marketing, Product, and Data Analytics at CI Financial Corp. He also served as President of First Asset, where he grew the business from $3 billion to $10 billion in just three years.
