Target Corp. (TGT) has demonstrated improving relative strength within the Favoured Green Zone of the SIA S&P 500 Index Report. The shares currently hold an SIA SMAX score of 10 out of 10 and rank 31st out of 505 securities. Target has risen 90 positions over the past month and 141 positions over the past quarter.

The Retail sector maintains a Neutral relative strength reading and ranks 12th out of 31 sectors in the SIA Sector Report, having advanced five positions over the past quarter.

Target’s most recent Point and Figure signal is a Double Top. Extrapolation of initial resistance is located at $171.62, followed by additional resistance at $197.14 and the previous high near $230.98. On a pullback, near-term support is located at the 3-box reversal level of $155.45, followed by support at $146.48 and $127.52.

The shares have gained 14.03% over the past month, 27.81% over the past quarter, and 71.55% year to date. By comparison, the S&P 500 Index Fund has returned 1.65%, 7.09%, and 17.10%, respectively, over the same periods.

Target is a Minneapolis-based general merchandise retailer operating nearly 2,000 U.S. stores and Target.com. The company is in the early stages of a turnaround under CEO Michael Fiddelke, supported by improving comparable and digital sales and investments in stores, staffing, and merchandising. While these developments are encouraging, the sustainability of the recovery remains to be established, particularly given competitive pressure, tariff exposure, and the non-recurring tariff refund that contributed materially to its improved fiscal 2026 outlook.
