Suspending mortgage lending: Fallout from new regulations

Sherry Cooper, Chief Economist at Dominion Lending Centres tells BNN that in the fallout from Ottawa's new mortgage regulations some alternative lenders have suspended parts of the operations. It's part of what Cooper calls a "highly disturbing" unintended impact of the changes that could also make housing "less affordable," do nothing to address the shortage of housing supply and slow the overall economy.
