Interesting Chart

Strength in the U.S. Dollar dominated equity and commodity trading activity yesterday.

Most notable impact was on commodity prices.

Commodity sensitive stocks were notably weaker. The TSX Metal and Mining Index completed a modified Head & Shoulders pattern.

Clearly, weakness in our basket of gold equities yesterday triggered by strength in the U.S. Dollar was unexpected and disappointed. However, significant technical damage by the sector was not recorded (at least not yet). Accordingly, they remain on the Monitored list.

Green: Increased Technical Score

Red: Reduced Technical Score
