Responses to the FOMC decision at 2:00 PM EDT yesterday
The FOMC maintained its Fed Fund rate at 0.00-0.25% and projected no rate hike through 2023. Responses included the following:
U.S. equity indices moved higher
Long term bond prices initially moved lower, but closed unchanged
The U.S. Dollar and its related ETN moved lower
Gold prices moved higher
Technical Notes for Wednesday March 17th
Palladium ETN (PALL) moved above $236.33 resuming an intermediate uptrend.
Brookfield Asset Management (BAM.A), a TSX 60 stock moved above $55.85 and $55.94 extending an intermediate uptrend.
Booking Holdings (BKNG), a NASDAQ 100 stock moved above $2450.26 to an all-time high extending an intermediate uptrend.
