Hugh Murphy: Establish your value to clients, and the cost won't matter that much

Hugh Murphy, Managing Director of Credo Consulting joins us at the CETFA Mindpath ETF Conference. Through their unique research methodology, Murphy's firm conducts some of the most thought provoking psycho-social profiling market research, into the mindset of both investors and advisors.

While investors have become increasingly price conscious, Murphy points out that investors are also very much engaged in a quest for value, defined by the quality of the relationship with their advisors and the impartiality of the advice they receive. Investors are making distinctions being made between the price of investments and the cost of the advice they receive. The flat-cost nature of ETFs represents an attractive proposition to enlightened investors for some obvious reasons, though not the ones you might think. Murphy talks about what investors want.
