Interesting Charts
Although equity indices on both sides of the border were mixed yesterday, economically sensitive sectors and subsectors recorded significant technical improvement:
¡ Short term support levels are developing
¡ Short term momentum indicators are improving from oversold levels
¡ Their strength relative to the S&P 500 Index has turned positive.
¡ Prices are moving above 20 and 50 day moving averages
¡ Their seasonal influences recently turned positive
In contrast, sectors that are considered less economically sensitive (e.g. utilities, telecom) are under technical pressure.
Also, uranium equities and related ETFs remain under pressure.
