LongPoint Asset Management Launches First ETF: ForAll Core & More U.S. Equity Index ETF

Toronto, November 12, 2024 – LongPoint Asset Management Inc. has officially entered the ETF market with the launch of its debut product, the ForAll Core & More U.S. Equity Index ETF (FORU). Trading under the symbol FORU on Cboe Canada, the new fund aims to provide investors with a dynamic, actively managed approach to U.S. equities.

FORU is designed to track the ForAll Core & More U.S. Equity Index, which combines three key components: a static core, an alpha-seeking strategy, and strategic allocations. Leveraging a rules-based algorithm, the fund dynamically shifts between these components to optimize performance. Notably, the ETF emphasizes U.S. equities with a technology focus, excludes fossil fuel exposure, and adopts a defensive posture during periods of high market volatility. Additionally, it may strategically allocate to the iShares Gold Bullion ETF Hedged when conditions warrant.

A Unique Take on U.S. Equity Investing

Steve Hawkins, CEO of LongPoint Asset Management, expressed enthusiasm about the new offering:

“LongPoint is excited to be launching its first partnership program ETF, ‘FORU’, on Cboe Canada. We anticipate that FORU will serve as an effective portfolio solution for investors seeking an opportunity to outperform traditional broad based U.S. equity index ETFs,” said Steve Hawkins, CEO, LongPoint. “LongPoint’s ETF platform can provide its asset manager and index clients with the unique opportunity to bring their investment strategies to life by launching, operating and growing bespoke Canadian ETFs.”

Accessibility and Innovation

Investors can access FORU through standard investment channels, including discount brokerage platforms and full-service dealers. The ETF’s launch underscores LongPoint’s commitment to offering cutting-edge solutions tailored to Canadian investors, drawing on the team’s combined 50 years of expertise in the ETF industry.

FORU is now part of the broader suite of ETFs hosted by Cboe Canada, a Tier 1 stock exchange facilitating approximately 15% of all Canadian-listed securities trading volume. As a hub for innovation, Cboe Canada provides a best-in-class listing experience for issuers and access to advanced tools like ETF Market Canada—a free platform offering real-time research and analysis on over 1,200 Canadian ETFs.
