Last fall, I began contributing to Horsesmouth, the top American website for advisors on practice management issues.

A proven formula for change

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Making meaningful changes in how we work is one of the hardest tasks we can attempt.

Change is possible however – recently I had a conversation with an advisor on a large team that had succeeded in implementing some significant new initiatives since the beginning of the year.

They key was time blocking, setting aside time each week for a major new undertaking and implementing a proven formula for change behind that commitment.

Recognize the obstacles to change
Change is an incredibly powerful force – it can word for you or against you. The trick is to harness it to work in your favour.

Changing Behavior

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

I am a great believer in taking the time to appreciate ones blessings by writing out the things that one is thankful for in their journal.

This has been a bountiful month having had the privilege to travel nearly 27,000 km to speak with hundreds of financial advisors in 6 cities right across Canada receiving loads of great financial advisor speaker testimonials. There’s a load more to say about what we can celebrate.

By far, the biggest success at the advent of this New Year was my behavior change with time management and with what I call OCTDLD; obsessive compulsive to do list disorder.
